Synopsis

After losing much of his humanity, Koyomi Araragi sets out to recover the detached limbs of Kiss-shot Acerola-orion Heart-under-blade, which have been taken by three formidable vampire hunters. He confronts Dramaturgie, a vampire who works as a hunter; Episode, a half-vampire capable of becoming mist; and Guillotinecutter, a human cleric whose threat surpasses the others. As Araragi struggles through these encounters, every moment spent reclaiming the body parts accelerates his transformation toward vampirism. His central conflict is whether he can restore his human life by the time the confrontations conclude, or whether the cost of retrieval will permanently strip him of what remains of his humanity.
