Synopsis

After her father is killed, Ryuuko Matoi travels seeking the person responsible, following the lone clue of a missing half of his invention, the Scissor Blade. Her search leads her to Honnouji Academy, an elite school governed by the austere student council president Satsuki Kiryuuin and her dominant Elite Four. Within the academy's merciless social order, Satsuki grants top students special battle garments known as Goku Uniforms, which bestow extraordinary physical capabilities. Defeated by one of those uniformed fighters, Ryuuko returns to her destroyed home and discovers Senketsu, a rare sentient Kamui—referred to as God Clothes. When Senketsu bonds with Ryuuko after contact with her blood, it awakens and fuses with her, giving her formidable strength. Equipped with Senketsu and the Scissor Blade, Ryuuko confronts the Elite Four in hopes of reaching Satsuki and uncovering who murdered her father.
