Synopsis

Kenichi Shirahama, a high school student frequently bullied in his karate club, spends his free time absorbed in self-improvement books. An accidental encounter with new transfer student Miu Furinji leads to a surprising offer of friendship after she reacts defensively. Confronted with a career-or-quit ultimatum from a club rival and frustrated by his inability to stand up to stronger opponents, Kenichi watches Miu easily repel three assailants. Seeking to learn how to defend himself, he follows her to her grandfather’s dojo, Ryouzanpaku, where a group of unconventional but highly skilled martial arts masters train. Miu assures Kenichi that he can grow much stronger under their guidance, though she warns that surviving the process will be a challenge. As a violent organization called Ragnarok begins menacing those around him, Kenichi embarks on a perilous path to develop his fighting ability and become a protector for the vulnerable.
