Synopsis

Once the foremost disciple of Jingxu Hall, Jiang Ziya fought in a devastating war against demons and played a key role in pursuing the Nine-Tailed Fox Demon. Celebrated as the first to reach the Stairway to Heaven and poised for leadership among the gods, his fate changed when the task to eliminate the Nine-Tailed revealed an illusion: an innocent girl trapped within the demon’s form. Troubled, Jiang Ziya released the fox spirit to spare the girl. As punishment for this choice, his divine abilities were sealed and he was exiled to the North Sea until the mirage of the Nine-Tailed no longer haunted him. A decade later, Jiang Ziya lives in the North Sea with his companion Shen Gongbao and the pet Si Bu Xiang. In a bar he encounters Xiao Jiu, who resembles the girl from the demon’s illusion. Noticing a bracelet on her ankle linked to the Nine-Tailed, he learns it leads her to a place marked by black flowers. Uncertain of what to believe, Jiang Ziya joins Xiao Jiu on a journey to Mount Youdu. Their travels set them on a path to uncover the truth he has long sought and to reveal unexpected realities about the great war that shaped their world.
