Synopsis

Deep Sea is an original 3D animated feature directed by Tian Xiaopeng, following his earlier work on Monkey King: Hero Is Back. Produced by October Media, the film departs from recent trends in Chinese animation that revisit historical tales, opting instead to blend distinctive eastern visual sensibilities with a contemporary setting. It constructs an entirely original underwater environment and follows a girl as she embarks on an enigmatic life journey, exploring and searching through the strange depths of that submerged world.
