Sei Handa believes he is shunned by his classmates and lives high school feeling like an outcast. In truth, he is the campus sensation: a skilled calligrapher whose talent, appearance, and demeanor earn widespread admiration. A chain of continual misinterpretations leads Handa to mistake this reverence for hostility, so he withdraws and keeps classmates at arm’s length. His efforts to avoid notice, however, backfire repeatedly, drawing even skeptics into his circle of admirers—ranging from fashion models to reclusive delinquents and intense fans—who find themselves captivated by Handa’s presence and artistry.
