Synopsis

Kitarou, a supernatural child raised in a burial ground and the final living member of the Ghost tribe aside from his largely decomposed father, navigates life with a concealed missing left eye. He works to uphold harmony between humans and youkai, often intervening to protect people from the dangerous schemes of other spirits. This retelling draws on the original Hakaba Kitarou manga that served as the foundation for the later Gegege no Kitarou adaptations of the late 1960s.
