Synopsis

As human society progresses, empathy and respect for the natural world are diminishing, provoking resentment among spirits who resent humanity’s self-centered actions. Among these spirits, factions form: one side rejects humans outright, while another favors living alongside them. Kitaro and his family belong to the latter group and work to foster mutual understanding between people and ghosts. Their struggle centers on preserving compassion, bridging the gap between both realms, and sustaining hope amid increasing hostility.
