Synopsis

An 11-year-old boy whose life centers on soccer relocates with his mother to a town famed for strong elementary school teams so he can pursue his ambitions. Once the standout player in his previous neighborhood, he now must compete against many skilled opponents and rely on his developing abilities to distinguish himself. Along the way he meets rivals and allies, including a supportive girl named Sanae Nakazawa and a gifted goalkeeper, Genzo Wakabayashi, who shares his dedication and becomes an important companion. His ultimate goal is to represent Japan at the FIFA World Cup, a dream that will demand more than natural talent as he grows and faces greater challenges.
