Synopsis

A solitary boy named Gokuu Son lives in the forest until Bulma, a young woman searching for seven mystical Dragon Balls that grant a single wish, encounters him. Bulma hopes to use the collected artifacts to obtain an ideal boyfriend, and when she discovers Gokuu holds one of the orbs, she negotiates his companionship in exchange for access to its power. Their agreement launches them on an expansive journey. Along the way they encounter the elderly master Muten-Roshi and his eager aspirant Kuririn; under Muten-Roshi’s guidance, Gokuu begins rigorous training to improve his martial skills ahead of the World Martial Arts Tournament. Beyond personal goals, the group must contend with others who desire the Dragon Balls for darker purposes. To protect the dangerous wish-granting ability from exploitation and to assist people they meet, they dedicate themselves to becoming stronger fighters while traveling the world.
