Synopsis

Five years after a prior conflict, martial arts practitioner Gokuu lives as an adult with his spouse Chi-Chi and their four-year-old son, Gohan. During a gathering on Turtle Island with longtime companions including Master Roshi, Krillin, and Bulma, a humanoid extraterrestrial named Raditz appears, discloses Gokuu's origins, and abducts Gohan. Confronted by Raditz's overwhelming strength, Gokuu reluctantly cooperates with former adversary Piccolo to retrieve his child. When they reveal the existence of seven mystical Dragon Balls capable of granting wishes, Raditz warns that other members of his Saiyan race will seek those artifacts. This confrontation sets the stage for Dragon Ball Kai, following Gokuu, his allies, and family as they repeatedly face escalating extraterrestrial dangers.
