Synopsis

Ten-year-old Takato Matsuda, who enjoys playing a Digimon card game and imagining original creatures, discovers an unfamiliar blue card and scans it with his reader. The card transforms into a D-Ark Digivice and, when it recognizes his design for a Digimon called Guilmon, produces a Digi-Egg that hatches into a living version of his creation. Excited at first, Takato soon learns that Guilmon’s energetic and unruly behavior demands constant care and attention. Their situation becomes more complicated when Ruki Makino, a competitive tamer, sends her partner Renamon to increase its power by defeating and assimilating other Digimon. Takato gains support from his classmate Li Jianliang and Li’s outspoken Digimon, Terriermon, as they confront a growing number of hostile forces. Faced with escalating dangers, Takato must deepen his connection with Guilmon in order to defend both the human world and the Digital World.
