Synopsis

Following a recent breakup, Momo Ayase, a well-liked high school girl, intervenes to defend socially awkward Ken Takakura from bullies. Ken mistakes her actions for shared enthusiasm about UFOs and extraterrestrials, while Momo privately adheres to strange occult convictions and rejects the existence of aliens. Their opposing beliefs spark a rivalry as each seeks to prove the other wrong. Over time, confrontations with urban legends, paranormal forces, and other supernatural threats draw them together. Through a series of bizarre encounters and battles, both develop distinct superhuman capabilities and learn to compensate for one another's weaknesses. Their relationship grows from antagonism into an unexpectedly close partnership that may involve more than mere cooperation for survival.
