Synopsis
In the realm of Midland, a solitary fighter named Guts prefers the clash of battle to quiet life. Though luck rarely favors him, his relentless skill and a sword far exceeding his size make him nearly unstoppable in combat. Griffith, the inscrutable commander of the Band of the Hawk, observes Guts' abilities and extends an invitation to join his mercenary unit. Guts initially refuses and issues a challenge; after being bested, he becomes bound to Griffith's group. Now compelled to fight beside the Band of the Hawk in Midland's campaign against the Empire of Chuder, Guts must navigate his role within the unit while Griffith pursues ambitions that reach beyond merely resolving the war.
