Synopsis

The Band of the Hawk, led by the enigmatic Griffith, continues a string of victories that raises their standing across the kingdom of Midland. Their next assignment targets the seemingly impregnable fortress of Doldrey, a stronghold that has repelled every prior effort to take it. Among Griffith’s forces is Guts, the raiders’ captain, a warrior whose massive blade and ferocity allow him to cut down scores in battle, making daunting objectives appear achievable. After Doldrey falls, Guts chooses to leave the Band to follow his own path, departing from companions despite Griffith’s attempts to persuade him to remain. This farewell unsettles Griffith, provoking a reaction that sets in motion a decision with profound consequences for him personally and for the future of the Band of the Hawk.
