Synopsis

Three years after Ladd Russo spared Graham Specter and won his devotion, Graham reacts violently when he discovers Ladd was thrown from a train following the Flying Pussyfoot incident. Motivated by Ladd’s unconventional convictions, Graham orchestrates a plan that begins with abducting Eve Genoard and leads to the capture of Jacuzzi Splot, who has been residing at the Genoard estate with his associates. Concurrently, Jacuzzi and his crew shelter an unfamiliar woman; Elmer C. Albatross visits a prison to see a former comrade; and Czeslaw Meyer unexpectedly encounters someone he had hoped never to meet again. These initially separate threads converge, resolving outstanding questions and uncovering the full truth behind the strange event aboard the Advena Avis in 1711.
