Franchouchou, an idol unit made up of undead members, faces severe financial strain after a failed concert. To settle debts for the venue, the girls take on daytime employment while their unconventional manager, Koutarou Tatsumi, descends into alcoholism. Amid these hardships, competing idol groups emerge, a well-known talk show host retires, and questions about purpose and existence surface. As Koutarou's influence and past begin to fray, a persistent journalist starts investigating the group. The region of Saga is increasingly chaotic, and the members confront challenges that extend beyond their undead condition, even as the legendary Tae Yamada's reputation grows more pronounced.
