Synopsis

Sakura Minamoto aspired to be an idol but died in a sudden traffic accident. A decade later she awakens in Saga Prefecture as a zombie, her memories of the past erased. While processing her new existence, she encounters Koutarou Tatsumi, who reveals he has brought back to life six other girls from various historical periods. Tatsumi's intention is to stimulate the local economy by forming an idol ensemble with these resurrected girls. Acting as a blunt and driven manager, he arranges appearances and performances; the girls comply and eventually adopt the name Franchouchou. Presented as an unconventional and humorous interpretation of idol narratives, the series follows Franchouchou as they work to boost Saga Prefecture's fortunes, conceal their undead condition, and gradually reconnect with their former lives.
