Synopsis

On the day he finishes high school, Koyomi Araragi—whose school years were shaped by unusual ties to supernatural beings—is drawn into his bathroom mirror and finds himself inside an inverted realm. In this distorted world, those he knows return with their personalities and appearances altered: the typically overbearing Karen appears unexpectedly diminutive, the normally impassive Yotsugi Ononoki shows uncharacteristic feeling, and the once-childlike Mayoi Hachikuji exists as an adult. As Araragi navigates this place where familiar truths are flipped, he seeks both a path back to his original life and an explanation for the strange rules governing the dimension.
