Synopsis

During routine trials of the most advanced Japanese battlecruiser, The Mirai, Commander Kadomatsu and his crew expect a standard exercise but are instead flung back to June 4, 1942, the day of the pivotal Battle of Midway. After Kadomatsu impulsively saves Kusaka, a pilot from that battle, from a sinking Zero, the ship becomes irreversibly linked to the past. The crew vows to avoid further interference, yet they are soon drawn into an unexpected engagement with a U.S. submarine—an encounter that should never have happened. Their actions set off consequential events that threaten to reshape the course of history, forcing them to confront the moral and strategic weight of having the power to influence a defining moment of World War II.
