Synopsis

Kousei Arima achieved fame as a piano virtuoso nicknamed the "Human Metronome" for his flawless technique. Trained under a demanding mother, he excelled in competitions and won widespread recognition. After his mother’s sudden death, a traumatic reaction left him unable to perceive piano sound, ending his public performances. Now a reserved junior high student, he lives quietly with friends Tsubaki Sawabe and Ryouta Watari while struggling with grief yet still attached to music. His routine is disrupted when he meets Kaori Miyazono, an unconventional violinist who invites him to be her accompanist. Their relationship develops from a small untruth into a growing bond as Kaori seeks to bring warmth and color back into Kousei’s life.
