Synopsis

Set in Tokyo during the 1960s, the story follows Shin, a boy who, despite poverty, finds joy in life until his sole family member, his mother, dies, plunging him into hardship. Itsuki, who rescues Shin, has also suffered the loss of an older sister. They are joined by Tae, a girl able to perceive yokai, and aided by Shin’s guardian spirit, Suu-san, along with newly encountered yokai such as a Nekomata. Together they confront a strange series of events aimed at reclaiming the souls of the family members they hold dear. Their investigation leads them toward a startling revelation tied to the origins of Lord Enma’s authority over the Yomakai.
