Synopsis

Elementary school student Keita Amano's innocent curiosity leads him to a mysterious capsule in a forest. From within emerges Whisper, a spectral entity who had been confined for 190 years. Grateful for his release, Whisper decides to become Keita's guardian against supernatural forces and reveals the existence of Youkai. He provides Keita with a special Youkai Watch, enabling him to perceive and interact with these hidden beings. The series follows Keita, Whisper, and the cat spirit Jibanyan as they encounter various Youkai, befriend them, address the issues they frequently cause, and, with the aid of the watch, employ the powers of previously encountered Youkai. Through these numerous adventures, the once ordinary Keita acquires invaluable experiences and precious life lessons that foster his personal growth.
