Synopsis

Masane Amaha and her young daughter Rihoko are fleeing from a government child welfare agency intent on separating them. Captured, Rihoko is taken away, and Masane is then assaulted by a sophisticated weapon capable of mimicking a human form. In the midst of that attack, an unusual light from Masane’s wrist triggers a transformation that grants her immense power. She destroys the assailant and, as a result, is drawn into a dangerous conflict among influential groups who now target her. At the heart of the struggle is the unparalleled artifact she bears: the legendary Witchblade, making Masane the central figure in the contest for its power.
