Nasa Yuzaki, a student determined to secure a notable future after topping a national mock exam, believes his path is set. One snowy night, he notices an extraordinary girl across the street and, entranced, moves to approach her but is struck by a truck. The girl acts swiftly to save him, and as he lies injured by an ambulance, he sees her depart under the moonlight, evoking the image of Princess Kaguya. Driven by a mix of resolve and infatuation, Nasa pushes through his pain to follow her and confesses his feelings. The girl, taken aback by his earnestness and daring, responds to his confession with an unexpected stipulation: they can be together only if they marry.
