Synopsis

An orb dispatched to Earth observes life from a distance and copies forms it reflects. Initially taking the shape of a stone and then moss as temperatures rise, it remains motionless until a dying wolf wanders by in snowfall. When the orb assumes the wolf’s shape, it acquires self-awareness and begins to travel without a fixed destination. During its wanderings it encounters the wolf’s young master, a solitary boy awaiting the return of his tribe from a distant southern paradise rich in fish and fruit. Though isolated, the boy clings to memories and hopes he will be reunited with those he cherishes. Seeking new terrain and determined to follow the trail left by his people, he leaves his home with the orb-turned-wolf. With severe injuries and no trace of his elders, the boy’s fate becomes uncertain. The work follows an immortal entity as it experiences human life across eras, meeting a wide range of people in many places while exploring themes of remembrance, loss, and the unfolding of consciousness.
