Synopsis

The Atobe Group will open a new tennis facility in Kanagawa and marks the occasion with an exhibition contest. Keigo Atobe, captain of Hyoutei Academy’s tennis squad, invites Rikkai University-Affiliated Middle School as the region’s top opponent. Seiichi Yukimura represents Rikkai and accepts the invitation to demonstrate his team’s capabilities. As both schools ready themselves, Hyoutei’s third-year players mentor the incoming captain, Wakashi Hiyoshi, while Rikkai’s senior members express concern about Akaya Kirihara, the only second-year on their roster, and whether he can sustain the team’s high standards. Hiyoshi and Kirihara push through intense practice with the aim of surpassing their predecessors’ achievements in the forthcoming match. The responsibility for Hyoutei’s and Rikkai’s futures falls to these second-year standouts, who pursue ambitious objectives under the encouragement and guidance of their graduating teammates.
