Synopsis

Mikiya Kokutou entrusts a cat to Shiki Ryougi before a short absence. Reluctant at first, Shiki must adapt to the animal, which appears to favor Mikiya and seems to miss him. Elsewhere, Ririsu Miyazuki returns to the site where a close friend took her life, contemplating the same fate. There she encounters Fujino Asagami, a blind schoolmate marked by her own trauma. Though their circumstances differ, Asagami evokes memories of Miyazuki’s friend and helps her confront and interpret that sorrow. Two months on, Mikiya opts to spend New Year’s with Shiki rather than with his family, a choice that upsets his sister Azaka and leads her to spend the holiday with classmates. As snow falls, Mikiya quietly considers his deepest wish: that Shiki may find happiness.
