Synopsis

Louise Françoise Le Blanc de La Vallière is an entitled magic student in a realm of wands, cloaks, and monarchs. Enrolled at the renowned Tristain Academy for magicians, she struggles to perform spells and is mocked by peers for her perceived ineptitude. During a required first-year ritual meant to call forth a familiar, her attempt triggers a massive explosion. When the smoke clears, a young man named Saito Hiraga stands before her; he has been drawn into this world and bound as Louise’s familiar. Initially treated like a servant and subjected to humiliating duties, Saito bears a strange brand on his hand from the summoning—rumored to indicate a famed, formidable familiar known as Gandalfr. The story follows Saito as he adjusts to his altered existence and follows Louise as she confronts expectations and reveals facets of herself that contrast with the disparaging label she has been given. Their developing relationship unfolds amid adventure, conflict, and moments that challenge first impressions.
