Synopsis

An apprentice mage named Chise Hatori accepts an invitation to join a renowned college for sorcerers, hoping the institution can help her find a way to lift the curses afflicting her. Though her guardian Elias Ainsworth is hesitant about the decision, Chise believes studying there may curb her tendency to put herself ahead of personal safety. Upon arrival, her abilities quickly draw attention from both peers and instructors unaccustomed to encountering a mage with her powers. As she settles into academic life, Chise becomes aware of a covert scheme unfolding around the college. To confront this danger she must navigate uncertain alliances and discern who among those around her intends harm, while pursuing answers about her own condition and limits.
