Synopsis

Hibiki Tachibana has repeatedly overcome formidable foes and rescued many, yet she currently struggles with the mundane challenge of summer homework. While her high school experience remains mostly ordinary, she serves as a combatant in the international military organization S.O.N.G., where she and her comrades employ ancient armored systems called Symphogear to respond to global crises and conflicts under United Nations coordination. During an operational briefing, Hibiki learns of a secretive faction referred to as the Bavarian Illuminati, implicated in several past catastrophes and now active in the conflict-ridden nation of Val Verde. Acting on this intelligence, Hibiki and her team penetrate one of the faction’s industrial sites, liberating hundreds held in bondage. Their intervention exposes the group's leading operatives—alchemists Saint-Germain, Cagliostro, and Prelati—who reveal themselves and, wielding alchemical abilities, announce a worldwide uprising that entails mass sacrifice. Confronted with an escalated danger to humanity, Hibiki and her allies must face the Bavarian Illuminati in an especially grueling and destructive confrontation, testing their resolve and the limits of Symphogear.
