Synopsis

Tsubasa Kazanari and Kanade Amou formed the idol pair Zwei Wing, channeling their music into ancient armaments called symphogears to fight a lethal alien force known as the Noise. The existence of the Noise is public, but the symphogears remain secret. During a Noise strike at a Zwei Wing performance, Kanade gives her life to shield a child, leaving Tsubasa bereft and a piece of Kanade's symphogear implanted in that child, Hibiki Tachibana. Two years later, Hibiki becomes involved in another Noise incident; while saving a stranded youngster during the evacuation she activates the dormant fragment of Kanade's gear inside her. Though Tsubasa continues to mourn Kanade, Tsubasa and Hibiki must learn to cooperate, combining their song-driven powers to protect humanity from the Noise.
