Synopsis
By 1939, an alien force called the Neuroi began devastating Earth with overwhelming weaponry, destroying nations and defeating conventional armies. In response, humanity developed the Striker Unit, a technology able to engage Neuroi systems. Young women equipped with these devices—known as Witches—became the final defenders, combining enhanced magical power with weaponry beyond ordinary human capability. Set in 1944, the story follows teenage Yoshika Miyafuji as she enlists in the 501st Joint Fighter Wing, the Strike Witches. Lacking formal military preparation, she must learn to work alongside the other Witches and apply her abilities in the fight to halt the Neuroi threat and protect what remains of humanity.
