Synopsis

During the Inter High Championships, Shohoku confronts Tsukubu, a surprising contender in the tournament. The matchup rekindles prior relationships: Anzai encounters a former pupil who now leads Tsukubu as coach; Akagi and Kogure come up against Godai, a onetime classmate who serves as Tsukubu's captain. Meanwhile, Sakuragi grows agitated by Nango, Tsukubu's center, whose interactions with Haruko create personal friction. The game combines competitive intensity with unresolved connections among players and coaches.
