Synopsis

Gin, an Akita born with brindle markings called Tora-ge and named for his silver coat, faces a fate tied to bear hunting. After witnessing Akakabuto, a man-eating demon bear, kill his father, Gin is singled out from his litter to take up his father's mantle and seek retribution. As Akakabuto gathers its own allies and returns to menace Gin’s homeland, Gin sets out on a journey across Japan to find and recruit other dogs willing to join a decisive struggle between dogs and the monstrous bear.
