Synopsis

A pandemic wipes out everyone older than thirteen, allowing concealed, power-driven vampires to seize control by offering protection to survivors in return for blood. Among the children taken from an orphanage are Yuuichirou and Mikaela Hyakuya, who view their fellow captives as family. Oppressed and treated as livestock, Mikaela attempts a risky breakout that fails, leaving only Yuuichirou alive to be rescued by the Moon Demon Company, a military force tasked with eliminating vampires in Japan. Years later, Yuuichirou serves in the Japanese Imperial Demon Army and pursues revenge against the creatures responsible for his loss, while struggling to preserve friendships and loyalty amid overwhelming opposition. This post-apocalyptic supernatural shounen centers on his quest for retribution and the personal costs it entails.
