Synopsis

Nineteen-year-old Minato Sahashi, a gifted yet struggling student who has failed his college entrance exams twice, faces scorn and dismissal from those around him. His prospects appear bleak until Musubi, a striking otherworldly woman, literally falls into his life. Musubi is a Sekirei, a humanoid extraterrestrial with exceptional abilities that can be awakened through a kiss shared with a human who carries the Ashikabi gene. Perceiving potential in Minato despite his low status, Musubi forms a bond with him through that kiss, unexpectedly linking their fates. This connection pulls Minato into the dangerous environment surrounding the Sekirei, where he and Musubi must take part in the Sekirei Plan, a life-or-death contest among Sekirei and their Ashikabi partners. As they contend with rivals and the immediate demands of survival, the true stakes of the competition remain hidden from the participants, revealing a broader and more perilous reality beneath the contest's surface.
