Synopsis

At Saitama University, two sharp-minded researchers decide to confront an enduring question: can a scientific approach illuminate an emotion that defies quantification? Ayame Himuro publicly confesses romantic feelings for her colleague Shinya Yukimura. Unfamiliar with romance and uncertain about his own emotions, Yukimura questions what elements actually define love. Lacking experience and confident answers, the two methodically design and carry out experiments on each other to observe behaviors and indicators that might signify love. Their clinical inquiry into attraction and attachment unfolds with support from friends, as they apply empirical methods and critical thinking to assess whether their observations amount to genuine romantic feeling.
