Synopsis
Set in 18th-century Europe, this tale recounts an ancient recurring Holy War between the Goddess Athena and Lord Hades that has shaped the world for two centuries. Three youngsters—Tenma, Alone, and Sasha—grow up closely together, their bond marked by warmth and innocence. Tenma, headstrong yet principled, departs for Sanctuary to train as a saint and is later reunited with Sasha, who is revealed to be Athena reborn. Alone, gentle and devoted to painting, becomes the vessel for Hades. Tenma rises as the Pegasus saint and is forced into a tragic confrontation with his childhood friend, now the Hades king. The destinies of Pegasus Tenma, King Hades, and the reborn Athena intersect, forming a prologue that leads into the events of the original Saint Seiya.
