After the Saints defeat Hades, Seiya remains gravely injured and confined to a wheelchair with no hope of recovery. Artemis, the Virgin Goddess of the Moon and Apollo’s twin, offers to restore Seiya’s body in return for control over Sanctuary. Athena agrees, and Artemis, supported by her Knights of the Sky, quickly assumes authority across Sanctuary. With their homeland seized, Seiya and the Bronze Saints engage in combat against forces loyal to Zeus to reclaim Sanctuary. Their task is complicated by defections: Hydra Ichi and Unicorn Jabu among the Bronze ranks, together with Silver Saint Ophiuchus Shaina, align themselves with Artemis and Apollo.
