Synopsis

Momoka Sonokawa, en route to her new middle school, is rescued from an assailant by a girl armed with two pistols. That rescuer is Miou Ootori, an upperclassman who leads Aogiri Academy’s Survival Game Club, known as Sabage-bu. Miou notices Momoka’s natural ability with a pistol and becomes intent on recruiting her. Despite Momoka’s firm refusal, she somehow becomes part of the club. Sabage-bu is far from a conventional school organization: its members behave in socially awkward, extreme ways that unsettle Momoka. Their conduct ranges from obsessive enthusiasm to outright delusion, and they undertake outrageous public stunts — from roaming campuses in ghillie suits to bungee jumping off school buildings. Thrust into the company of these survival-game devotees, the ordinarily earnest Momoka must navigate and acclimate to an unexpectedly chaotic school life.
