Synopsis

A 30-year-old woman named Moriko Morioka leaves a long-term job and, relieved by her newfound freedom, immerses herself in an online role-playing game. Adopting a handsome male persona called Hayashi, she spends increasing hours in the virtual world and quickly connects with a gentle healer named Lily. Their immediate friendship becomes central to Moriko’s daily life as she retreats into a largely homebound existence, venturing outside only when necessary. Unaware of Moriko’s real-world choices, a shy 28-year-old office worker, Yuuta Sakurai, also joins the same game from a different part of town. A chance, brief meeting at a convenience store leaves both assuming it was merely an awkward encounter, yet their lives are quietly on a path to intersect more deeply through the game and their separate decisions.
