Synopsis

Fumihiko Matsumaru, a marketing worker, nearly discards movie tickets after being stood up until a lively young woman, Aka Onda, asks to join him. Her cheerful, unconventional presence turns the evening into a bright interlude, and they discover they live in the same neighborhood. Hours later, Fumihiko wakes from a nightmare to sirens and finds that Aka’s apartment has burned down, destroying her belongings. He offers her a place to stay, and they end up spending the night together. In the days that follow, their lives become closely linked: they begin cohabiting in a platonic arrangement while navigating the consequences of that night, and Aka is cast as the voice for the mascot Fumihiko created for his company’s new product. Concerned about external judgment, they keep their living situation private and gradually become pillars of support for one another as they face challenges in both their personal and professional lives.
