Synopsis

A devout kingdom that has lived under a long-lasting peace enforced by a vast wall knows how easily that peace can shatter. When the demon Jaldabaoth emerges, leading a coalition of monstrous tribes in a campaign of conquest, the kingdom's fortifications prove insufficient. With national survival on the line, religious authorities are forced to abandon strict prohibitions and negotiate an alliance with the undead sovereign of the Nation of Darkness, despite the moral and cultural costs of dealing with such a taboo power.
