Synopsis

E-Rantel, once a busy trade center and now the capital of the new Sorcerer Kingdom, endures severe shortages as merchants and citizens act with caution or fear toward King Ainz Ooal Gown. Seeking to address the city's needs and ease tensions, Ainz dispatches Albedo to serve as his diplomatic representative. At the same time, the Slane Theocracy's cardinals debate retaliation after Ainz's strike weakened the Re-Estize Kingdom's forces, and they consider involving the Baharuth Empire to counter the Sorcerer Kingdom. Emperor Jircniv Rune Farlord El Nix arranges to meet the Theocracy's envoys in a colosseum, but the meeting is interrupted by Ainz himself. With their covert plans exposed, the emperor and his guests discover that Ainz has issued a public challenge to the Warrior King, the empire's foremost combatant. Jircniv, unable to comprehend Ainz's intentions, is left to witness events that will alter humanity's course.
