Synopsis

Following the outbreak of World War III, Japan was reshaped by long-lasting aftermaths that persisted even after the war officially ended fifty years later in 2150. Scattered across the nation, enigmatic zones called Blackspots emerged, their tainted ruins sealing off cities and countryside to contain the contamination. People trapped within these zones developed altered abilities—ranging from shape alteration and fire manipulation to gravity control—and came to be labeled as the Needless. Adam Blade is among them, distinguished by exceptional regenerative capacity and great physical power. To bring stability to a fractured Japan, he and a group of allies confront Simeon, a research organization whose actions threaten the fragile chance for peace.
