Though he still holds affection for his childhood friend Haruna, he finds himself conflicted by Lala, an alien princess who appeared and proclaimed she would wed him. The situation grows more complex when Lala's younger twin sisters, Momo and Nana, arrive on Earth to meet their sister's prospective husband and end up living under Rito's roof. At the same time, Yami, a human weapon, intensifies her focus on Rito, adding danger to his already troubled days.
