Synopsis

Set in late 19th-century Britain, the story unfolds within a society where rigid social ranks assign worth by birth and wealth. The aristocracy enjoys power and privilege while the working classes face almost insurmountable barriers to advancement. William James Moriarty, a younger son of a noble house, outwardly maintains the life of a gentleman and acts as an advisor for ordinary people, helping them navigate practical problems. Beneath that composed exterior he harbors a determined drive to topple the social order that sustains inequality and rewards the few. Joined by his brothers Albert and Louis, William pursues radical means to overturn the corrupt system that shapes his world, prepared to cross moral lines in pursuit of systemic change.
