Synopsis

Alfred Izuruha, a ten-year-old resident of the neutral Side 6 colony cluster, is deeply interested in the conflict between the Earth Federation and the Principality of Zeon. Next door lives Christina, secretly serving as the test pilot for a prototype Gundam the Federation is developing within the colony. Meanwhile, a Zeon Special Forces unit prepares to infiltrate Side 6 with orders to either seize or destroy the prototype. During a clash between Federation defenders and the intruders, Alfred discovers a downed Zaku mobile suit piloted by Zeon newcomer Bernard "Bernie" Wiseman. Their ensuing friendship allows Alfred to gain a closer view of the war he admires, while Bernie obtains local knowledge useful to his team's operation. The story maintains a tone of youthful curiosity set against the tension of covert military activity and an impending espionage mission.
