Synopsis
In a near-future decade where electric cars dominate daily life, a traditional combustion-engine racing series called the MFG preserves the culture of high-speed competition. Millions watch the tournament online as hundreds of determined drivers vie for one of the Godly Fifteen spots—the top fifteen racers—and the 100 million yen prize. Nineteen-year-old Kanata Rivington, trained at a renowned British racing academy, joins the MFG under the assumed name Kanata Katagiri. Driving a modest Toyota 86 GT inherited from a former competitor, he faces opponents with far flashier machines and relies on coaching from an established Godly Fifteen member. Though he treats the series as a stepping stone, his deeper motive is to find his estranged father. Kanata’s arrival unsettles the community when observers notice his driving echoes the style of a legendary racer from the past.
